Custom checkout domains use a provider-neutral lifecycle: claim, DNS proof, certificate, attach, detach, tombstone. Host headers from clients are not trusted. Continue in [troubleshooting](./troubleshooting#intro) or [webhooks](./webhooks#intro).

Activation requires a random TXT token, a unique active hostname, and detach before release. `operation_id` names for domain APIs will appear in the generated reference when the registry materializes them. Until then this page documents the product behavior, not a second schema.
